Al-Arjat 1 Prison clarifies health status of inmate Mohamed Zian

The administration of Al-Arjat 1 Local Prison has issued a statement addressing reports regarding the deteriorating health of inmate Mohamed Zian. The administration clarified that Zian's general health condition is stable and that he receives regular medical monitoring.

According to prison records, Zian has received 113 medical consultations within the facility, including 16 dental appointments. He has also undergone 12 specialist consultations at the hospital, 51 biological tests, and eight radiological examinations. The administration noted that Zian refused transfer to an external hospital on five separate occasions, three for specialist consultations and two for scheduled medical examinations.

Regarding specific claims of a severe vitamin D deficiency, the administration stated that tests showed only a moderate deficiency, for which he has received appropriate supplemental treatment. Additionally, the facility confirmed that Zian receives balanced daily meals in accordance with the standard nutritional program and has access to the prison canteen.
