Al-Awadhi appointed governor of Al Bayda, Yemen

Major General Hussein Al-Awadhi has been appointed as the new governor of Al Bayda following a decision by Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council President, Rashad Al-Alimi.

In messages addressed to the residents of both Al Bayda and Al Jawf, Al-Awadhi emphasized his commitment to unifying local ranks to confront Houthi militias. He called for the overcoming of internal disputes and selfishness to focus on the national responsibility of reclaiming Al Bayda from Houthi control.

Addressing the people of Al Jawf, where he previously served, Al-Awadhi expressed gratitude to the administrative teams and urged citizens to support the local civil and military leadership. Regarding Al Bayda, he warned against the forced recruitment of residents under Houthi control into combat fronts, urging those facing pressure to resist intimidation and instead support the national army and popular resistance.
