Al-Azhar University announces 2026 admission results and new sports vision

Al-Azhar University has announced the admission coordination results and minimum requirements for the 2026-2027 academic year. Following the announcement, university president Dr. Mahmoud Seddik noted that minimum requirements for medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and engineering have been unified across different geographic regions to ensure equal opportunity.

For the scientific section, Cairo Medicine requires 618 marks (95.08%), while Dentistry in Cairo requires 602 marks (92.62%). Other notable thresholds include Pharmacy in Cairo at 593 marks (91.23%) and Engineering in Cairo at 579 marks (89.08%).

In a separate educational development, the ‘Cairo Declaration 2026 for African University Sports’ was launched during a scientific conference hosted by the British University in Egypt. The declaration aims to advance African university sports through science, innovation, and digital transformation, including the use of artificial intelligence for talent discovery and injury prevention. The initiative seeks to establish an African network for sports science researchers and promote integrity and anti-doping measures across the continent.

Additionally, the 2026/2027 academic year has commenced in 274 Al-Azhar institutes within the Aswan region, with officials conducting field visits to ensure student discipline and the readiness of educational facilities.
