Al-Azhar secondary students begin 2026 second-round exams

Al-Azhar secondary school students are currently undergoing second-round examinations for both the scientific and literary tracks. The exams, which began on August 18, 2026, are being conducted under strict security and precautionary measures.

In addition to the ongoing examination schedule, Al-Azhar University has outlined the coordination rules and regulations for the 2026 academic year. Admission to university faculties will be determined by student grades, specific faculty requirements, and geographic distribution rules.

Certain female-only faculties, such as the Faculties of Education and Human Studies, require students to pass specific entrance exams to ensure suitability for teaching professions. The university also utilizes a geographic distribution system to assign students to colleges based on their place of residence and the institutes from which they graduated.
