Al Bano climbs stage truss during concert in Bagheria

During a free concert in Bagheria, Sicily, celebrating the Festa di San Giuseppe and the city's bicentennial, 83-year-old singer Al Bano Carrisi climbed a metal lighting truss during his performance.

While performing in the crowded Piazza Madrice, the singer placed his microphone in his pocket and climbed the iron structure to gain a better view of the audience. After reaching a stable position, he retrieved his microphone and addressed the crowd, saying, “Finally I see you! Bagheria, how are you?”

The stunt caused a mix of excitement and concern among the thousands of spectators. Al Bano continued to sing from the structure, even jokingly pretending to lose his balance. He later addressed the risky behavior with irony, stating, “Climbing on the trusses? After all, man was born from a monkey and I am a worthy representative.”
