Al Bano's delayed Ryanair flight to Brindisi sparks passenger megaphone request
On 2 August 2026 a Ryanair flight (FR358) from Venice Marco Polo Airport to Brindisi was held on the ground for about ninety minutes after a malfunction disabled the aircraft’s internal communication system. The crew resorted to a handheld megaphone to keep passengers informed.
Italian singer Al Bano Carrisi was on board en route to the opening ceremony of the Mediterranean Games in Puglia. While waiting, some travelers jokingly asked him to perform using the megaphone. He smiled, declined to preserve his voice for the event, and the flight later departed for Brindisi without a mini‑concert.
