Newly promoted Saudi Pro League club Al-Diriyah has announced the signing of experienced Senegalese midfielder Idrissa Gueye. The 36-year-old joins the club as a free agent following his departure from the English side Everton.

Reports indicate that Gueye has signed a one-year contract, which includes an option for an additional year. The veteran midfielder brings extensive experience to the squad, having played 569 matches for club and country, including 30 UEFA Champions League appearances and 135 caps for Senegal.

His previous career includes stints at LOSC Lille, Paris Saint-Germain, Aston Villa, and Everton. Al-Diriyah intends to utilize Gueye's leadership and tactical expertise to stabilize their midfield as they compete in their debut season in the Roshn Saudi League.
