Al Fateh FC appoints Jamal Sellami as new head coach

Al Fateh FC has officially appointed Moroccan coach Jamal Sellami to lead the first team. The decision follows the mutual termination of the contract with Saudi coach Khaled Al-Atwi, who held the position for less than three months.

Sellami, 56, arrives at Al Fateh after leading the Jordan national team to its first-ever FIFA World Cup appearance in 2026. His previous experience includes coaching Moroccan clubs such as Raja Casablanca, Fath Union Sport, and Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi, as well as winning the Moroccan League with Raja in the 2019-2020 season.

The appointment comes at a critical time for the club, which currently sits 15th in the Saudi Pro League with only three points from seven matches. Sellami is expected to make his debut this Friday in a match against Al Ahli during the eighth round of the league.
