Al-Islah Party cancels anniversary celebrations to support military efforts
The General Secretariat of the Yemeni Congregation for Reform (Al-Islah Party) has issued an urgent directive to immediately cancel all public festivals and celebratory events originally planned for the party’s 36th anniversary on September 13.
The decision, communicated via an internal circular to executive office heads across all provinces, is described as a response to the exceptional and complex circumstances in Yemen. The party stated that the move aligns with the requirements of the “national battle” to restore state institutions from Houthi militia control and maintains coordination with the internationally recognized government and armed forces.
Al-Islah leadership has called on its cadres and executive offices to redirect all material and human resources toward supporting military efforts, specifically the goal of liberating the capital, Sanaa. The party emphasized that the national military struggle is the “top priority,” superseding all partisan activities and programs at this time.
