Al Ittihad ends Marbella pre‑season camp with 2‑2 draw against Málaga
Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad concluded its pre‑season training camp in Marbella, Spain with a 2‑2 draw against Málaga after earlier suffering a 4‑2 defeat to Real Mallorca. In the first match of the day, the Jaguars were beaten 4‑2 by the Spanish club, marking the heaviest loss of the camp. Later, under German head coach Jens Vessing, Al Ittihad took a 2‑0 lead with goals from Dutch winger Steven Bergwijn and Nigerian forward George Elenikhnna, but Málaga rallied in the second half with strikes from Adrian Nino and Joaquín Muñoz to level the game. The mixed results capped a series of friendlies that also included wins over Orlando Pirates and Las Palmas. Al Ittihad will return to Jeddah to begin the final phase of preparation ahead of its AFC Champions League Elite play‑off against Al Jazira of the United Arab Emirates on 11 August.
