Al-Ittihad manager Jens Rasmusen discusses recent league performances

Al-Ittihad head coach Jens Rasmusen has commented on the team's recent form in the Saudi Roshn League. Following a 2-0 victory over Diriyah, Rasmusen expressed satisfaction with the performance, noting that the team deserved the points and maintained defensive solidity by keeping a clean sheet.

He specifically praised the return of Saad Al-Mousa from injury, though he noted the decision to substitute him after a yellow card was a precautionary measure. Rasmusen also addressed tactical decisions, such as deploying Richard Rios in central defense, explaining these choices are situational based on match requirements.

In contrast, Rasmusen reflected on a previous 3-2 defeat against Al-Hilal, which ended Al-Ittihad's unbeaten streak. While expressing disappointment with the result, he commended the players' fighting spirit and highlighted Ahmed Al-Ghamdi's standout performance. The loss left Al-Ittihad in second place, four points behind league leaders Al-Hilal.
