Al-Ittihad's $6 million bid for Al Ahly midfielder Imam Ashour turned down

Saudi Pro League club Al‑Ittihad entered the summer transfer market with an initial offer of $6 million to sign Egyptian midfielder Imam Ashour from Al Ahly, adding a proposed annual salary of $4 million. The proposal was reported by the Saudi sports daily Al‑Riyadiya.

Al Ahly rejected the offer, stating that the amount does not reflect Ashour's value to the team and that a higher fee is required. Ashour currently earns about $315,000 per year at Al Ahly. The club also noted interest in fellow midfielder Marwan Attia, though a move for him appears unlikely, and continues its preseason preparations ahead of the new season.
