Al Jazeera announces network overhaul for 30th anniversary
Al Jazeera is marking its 30th anniversary with a significant restructuring of its Arabic-language news services. The Qatar-based network is introducing a three-channel structure designed to separate rolling breaking news, live event broadcasting, and in-depth reporting.
As part of this transformation, the network is launching 33 new programmes aimed at providing more detailed coverage and analysis. Since its launch on November 1, 1996, Al Jazeera has played a role in reshaping Arab journalism by introducing practices such as continuous live coverage, breaking news alerts, and exclusive reporting.
