Al-Khofaji Municipality prepares for rainy season in Saudi Arabia

The Eastern Province Municipality, through the Al-Khofaji Municipality, has completed its operational and field preparations for the 1448 AH rainy season. The proactive plan aims to increase the efficiency of rainwater drainage networks, enhance emergency team readiness, and accelerate response times to reports to ensure the safety of residents and property.

Preparations include preventive maintenance of drainage networks and channels, cleaning debris and sediment, and inspecting pumps and drainage stations. The operational plan involves 140 technical and field staff supported by 48 diverse pieces of machinery and equipment, distributed based on site needs to ensure rapid intervention in low-lying or critical areas.

Authorities have requested residents to cooperate with field teams and report any water accumulation or observations via the 940 reporting center to help prioritize response efforts.
