Al-Madinah Municipality institutional transformation documented in international academic study

The Al-Madinah Region Municipality and the University of Business and Technology have announced the publication of an academic case study documenting the municipality's institutional transformation journey. Prepared by the university's ‘Athar’ Case Study Center, the study is available via ‘The Case Centre’, a prominent international platform for management and business education.

The study details the transformation process initiated in 2020 as part of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. It examines various practices and decisions that contributed to institutional development, including governance, strategic planning, performance management, organizational health, capacity building, and change management. It specifically highlights how the municipality measured organizational health to improve the work environment and administrative practices.

Fahd bin Mohammed Al-Belushi, Mayor of Al-Madinah, stated that documenting institutional experiences allows for the accumulation of expertise and the development of administrative practices. Dr. Wiam bin Hussein Tunisi, President of the University of Business and Technology, noted that this collaboration between the government and academia aims to convert national experiences into applied knowledge for researchers and leaders.
