Al Mahrah concludes Farmer Field Schools training program
A training course for trainers in ‘Farmer Field Schools’ has concluded in Yemen’s Al Mahrah Governorate. The program is part of the ‘Sustainable and Resilient Livelihoods in Rural Areas in Yemen’ project, which is funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
The initiative was organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation and Fisheries. The training aims to qualify trainers to improve agricultural productivity, enhance farmer efficiency, and promote the sustainable use of agricultural resources. Officials noted that the program is intended to transfer knowledge and expertise to the field to support rural communities and improve living conditions.
