Yemeni officials meet in Aden to address humanitarian crisis and service shortages
Yemeni government officials and international representatives are meeting in Aden to address escalating humanitarian and security challenges. Prime Minister Shayea Mohsen al-Zindani met with UN humanitarian coordinator John Jing to discuss the urgent need for international action following Houthi military escalations and rising displacement. Al-Zindani emphasized the need for sustainable funding and improved delivery of health, nutrition, and shelter services.
Simultaneously, Presidential Leadership Council member Abdulrahman al-Mahrami held high-level discussions with Prime Minister al-Zindani and military leader Mahmoud al-Subei. These meetings focused on improving essential public services in Aden and liberated provinces—specifically electricity, water, health, and education—while addressing economic instability. The officials also reviewed military readiness on the frontlines to counter Houthi movements and ensure the security of vital national facilities.
