Al Marjan Island sees new luxury residences and mountain trail expansions

Atara Development has announced progress on The Residences at Sheraton Al Marjan Island Resort in the UAE. The project, which commenced construction in January, features 168 fully furnished, Sheraton-branded 1- and 2-bedroom luxury residences. The development includes direct beachfront access, wellness facilities, and resort-grade amenities, aiming to capitalize on the growing tourism and real estate investment momentum in Al Marjan Island.

Simultaneously, Marjan Lifestyle is expanding the outdoor infrastructure on Jebel Jais. Plans include the creation of an 80km Grand Hiking Loop designed for multi-day journeys involving hiking, cycling, and camping. Additionally, a new five-day Via Ferrata climbing route is under development across the cliffs of northern Ras Al Khaimah. This route is expected to span up to 20km and will be supported by a network of mountain shelters accessible only by foot.
