Al Melwah falcon racing concludes at Saudi International Falcons Exhibition

The professional and elite rounds of the Al Melwah falcon racing competition have concluded as part of the Saudi International Falcons and Hunting Exhibition 2026. Held at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, the event features competitions based on the speed and responsiveness of falcons over a 200-meter distance.

In the Gir Shaheen chick category, Nasser Ghazi Al-Mutairi secured first place, followed by Sattam Bijad Al-Mutairi and Humaid Barghash Al-Mansouri. In the Gir Tabaa chick category, Humaid Barghash Al-Mansouri took first place, with Fahad Barghash Al-Mansouri in second and Abdulaziz Al-Jalban in third. Other notable winners included Turki Al-Marri in the Muthlouth Gir chick category and Muqrin bin Quraia in the Hurr chick category.

The competition has expanded this year to 12 rounds, up from six last year, with total prizes amounting to 723,000 riyals. Participation in these specific rounds is restricted to chicks purchased from the international falcon breeding farms auction, a decision by the National Falcons Center to link the auction directly to competitive racing pathways.
