Al Mi Furner celebrates 60 years of artisan baking in Bologna

The historic bakery Al Mi Furner, also known as Forno Valentini, is celebrating its 60th anniversary in Bologna. Established in 1966 at the corner of via dello Scalo and via Saffi, the business was founded by Rolando Valentini, who realized his dream of owning a bakery after saving one million lire.

Since Nico Valentini joined the family business in 1977, the bakery has maintained its tradition of producing bread, pastries, and savory items. A significant milestone occurred in the 1990s when the bakery received permission to operate during nighttime hours, making it a well-known destination for students and night owls in the city.
