Al Nassr's Lisbon pre‑season camp continues as Nawaf Boushal cleared to train
Saudi Pro League champions Al Nassr are completing the second phase of their pre‑season camp in Lisbon. Right‑back Nawaf Boushal, who suffered an ankle‑ligament tear while representing Saudi Arabia at the 2026 World Cup, has been cleared to re‑join training after a medical assessment and will resume full preparations with the squad.
The club’s schedule in Portugal includes friendly matches against Spanish side Mérida on 28 July, Portuguese club Estrela Amadora on 1 August and Almería on 4 August. A further friendly against SL Benfica B is set for 22 July, though star forward Cristiano Ronaldo will not feature as he rests after the World Cup. The team is also under new head coach Ange Postecoglou, appointed after the departure of Jorge Jesus.
Al Nassr will use the camp to evaluate squad depth and tactical options ahead of the 2026‑27 Saudi league season, aiming to defend their title after last season’s triumph.
