Al-Orman Association provides 7,297 free eye surgeries in Minia
The Al-Orman Association, under the supervision of the Minia Social Solidarity Directorate, has provided specialized ophthalmic medical services to 7,297 patients from underprivileged families across various villages and centers in the Minia Governorate.
The medical initiative included free eye examinations and surgical procedures such as cataract removal, glaucoma treatment, pterygium surgery, and corneal transplants. Additionally, patients received medical eyeglasses and precise diagnostic screenings.
To ensure services reached those most in need, the association utilized field research and home visits to verify the social and health status of beneficiaries. This effort was conducted in coordination with local civil society organizations and government authorities to support the healthcare system in remote and needy areas.
