Al Pacino autobiography ‘Sonny Boy’ to be released in Serbia

The autobiography of actor Al Pacino, titled ‘Sonny Boy’, is set to be released on the Serbian market by Laguna publishing on September 7. Translated by Branislava Radević-Stojiljković, the book follows the actor’s journey from a childhood in the South Bronx to his rise as one of cinema’s most influential figures.

Rather than focusing on scandals or romantic relationships, the memoirs delve into the craft of acting, professional insecurities, and personal struggles, including alcohol, parenting, and financial difficulties. Pacino reflects on pivotal career moments, such as his collaborations with Francis Ford Coppola in ‘The Godfather’ and his roles in ‘Serpico’, ‘Dog Day Afternoon’, and ‘Scarface’.

The book also touches on deeply personal themes, including his relationship with his mother and grandfather, and the loss of three close friends to heroin. Originally published in the United States, ‘Sonny Boy’ quickly became a New York Times bestseller.
