Al Qadsiah Club becomes Saudi Arabia’s first recognized Olympic training facility
Al Qadsiah Club has signed a cooperation agreement with the Saudi Olympic & Paralympic Committee to become the first recognized Olympic training facility in Saudi Arabia across various sports disciplines. The agreement was signed in Khobar by Al Qadsiah Club CEO James Besgrove and the Saudi Olympic & Paralympic Committee CEO and Secretary-General Abdulaziz Baashen, in the presence of Al Qadsiah Club Chairman Rami Al-Turki.
The partnership aims to develop the athlete preparation system, discover and qualify talent, and enhance technical and training competencies. It seeks to build integrated sporting pathways to prepare a new generation of Saudi athletes capable of competing internationally.
The agreement will allow athletes from the Saudi Olympic Training Center in the Eastern Province to utilize Al Qadsiah Club’s facilities and equipment. It also facilitates coordination between technical staff, performance specialists, sports science experts, and medical professionals to provide a comprehensive daily training environment.
