Al-Quds Bait Mal Agency develops 2027–2030 strategic plan

Mohammed Salem Al-Sharqawi, the acting director of the Al-Quds Bait Mal Agency, has conducted a series of intensive consultative meetings in Ramallah and Jerusalem to develop the agency’s 2027–2030 action plan.

The meetings involved a wide range of institutional, economic, and social actors, including Islamic and Christian religious authorities, the Palestine Liberation Organization’s Jerusalem Affairs Department, the Ministry of Jerusalem Affairs, and various local NGOs, hospitals, and educational institutions. The goal is to create a strategic vision for Jerusalem that responds to the city's rapidly changing needs and increasing demand for support.

Al-Sharqawi stated that the new vision follows the directives of King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, and aims to transition the agency from providing direct in-kind aid toward a model of empowerment and sustainability. This approach includes supporting productive associations, emerging enterprises, traders, and farmers. Key pillars of the upcoming phase include enhancing governance, digitalization, and the use of electronic platforms to improve transparency and tracking for beneficiaries and funders.
