Al-Raya National Party affirms support for Lebanese resistance

The Al-Raya National Party issued a statement marking the second anniversary of the deaths of Hassan Nasrallah and Hashem Safieddine. The party emphasized its commitment to defending Lebanese sovereignty and liberating its land from occupation.

In the statement, the party noted that large public gatherings in Beirut’s southern suburbs and at various shrines demonstrate that the resistance movement remains supported by its environment. The party welcomed recent remarks by Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem regarding Lebanon’s right to defend itself and the resilience of the resistance.

While the party commended Hezbollah’s decision to provide financial support to those affected by war, it stressed that the Lebanese state bears the primary responsibility for providing relief, compensating victims, and managing reconstruction efforts. The party called on political authorities to stop using the resistance as a source of internal division and to address the country’s economic collapse.
