Al Saeed University launches education-focused TEDx event in Taiz

Shawqi Ahmed Hayel Saeed, Chief Operating Officer of HSA Group, emphasized that true investment lies in human development during the launch of the TEDxAl Majaliyah ED 2026 event at Al Saeed University in Taiz, Yemen.

During the event, which is described as the first in Yemen dedicated specifically to the topic of education, a strategic partnership agreement was signed between the event organizers and Al Saeed University. Saeed criticized traditional rote learning methods, arguing that rapid global changes require an educational system that fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability.

He encouraged youth to adopt entrepreneurial mindsets and seek opportunities within challenges, citing the developmental models of countries such as Rwanda, Colombia, Singapore, and Japan as examples of progress driven by investing in human capacity.
