Al-Taawoun coach apologizes after 6-0 loss to Al-Hilal

Al-Taawoun head coach Zarko Lazetic conceded that Al-Hilal was significantly superior following a 6-0 defeat in the seventh round of the Saudi Pro League. Lazetic stated that Al-Hilal was “a million times better” than his side across all aspects of the game.

During the post-match press conference, the Serbian coach apologized to the Al-Taawoun supporters and took responsibility for tactical errors. He noted that he had exhausted all five substitutions early in an attempt to improve the team's performance while trailing by a large margin. This decision left the team to play with only ten men after an injury occurred in the 65th minute.

Lazetic expressed frustration with the team's lack of fighting spirit and aggression, noting that while the players possess strong individual skills, they failed to meet the required intensity against a high-quality opponent. The loss marks Al-Taawoun's fourth defeat of the current season, leaving them with only three points from three draws and four losses.
