Al-Tawahi district holds awareness seminar on Houthi ideology and drugs

Authorities in the Al-Tawahi district of Aden held an awareness seminar focused on the dangers of Houthi ideology, recruitment efforts, and drug abuse. The event was organized by the Al-Tawahi local authority under the leadership of Director General Riyadh Hassan Ali, in coordination with the local police, the drug enforcement department, and the education department.

Participants, including military and security leaders, religious figures, and local youth, discussed the risks of ideological polarization and the exploitation of young people in ways that threaten social stability. The seminar also addressed the impact of narcotics on individuals and families amidst the country's ongoing security challenges.

A documentary film was screened detailing the destruction and human suffering caused by the 2015 war in Aden, intended to educate younger generations on the consequences of armed conflict. Attendees emphasized the need for continued cooperation between security forces, educational institutions, and religious leaders to protect the community from extremism and drugs.
