Alabama Athletics kicks off 2026-27 sports season

Alabama Athletics has commenced its 2026-27 season with several updates across various sports programs. The women's soccer team secured a 2-1 road victory against Saint Louis, featuring goals from Ashley Roni and a penalty kick by Larkin Thomason. The team is scheduled to face Memphis before returning home to host TCU.

The volleyball program will host the Crimson Tide Invitational on August 28-29 at Foster Auditorium, with matchups against Samford and UC Riverside. Additionally, the football team, led by head coach Kalen DeBoer, is preparing to host East Carolina at Bryant-Denny Stadium on September 5. The men's and women's basketball teams, both coming off NCAA Tournament appearances, have also announced upcoming exhibition matchups.
