Alabama Basketball Coach Nate Oats Marries Former Staffer Alex Accetta

Alabama men’s basketball head coach Nate Oats, 51, married former Alabama operations director Alex Accetta, 31, over the weekend. The ceremony was shared on social media by assistant coach Brian Adams and featured several university figures, including athletics director Greg Byrne.

Oats’s marriage follows a quiet 2023 divorce from his wife of 26 years, Crystal Oats. The couple share three daughters – Lexie, Jocelyn and Brielle. Earlier this year Oats signed a six‑year contract extension to remain at Alabama, while Accetta had left the program for a role with the Dallas Mavericks.

The wedding marks a new chapter for the coach who has led Alabama to NCAA tournament appearances each season since taking over in 2019, including a Final Four run in 2024.
