Alabama college football programs progress through fall camp
College football programs in Alabama are progressing through their first week of fall camp.
Alabama Offensive Coordinator Ryan Grubb highlighted the performance of the running back room during the team's fifth practice. Grubb noted strong competition within the unit and praised sophomore AK Dear for his increased maturity and improved understanding of protections. The team is currently focused on revitalizing its run game and refining the offensive line ahead of the regular season.
At UAB, Head Coach Alex Mortensen reported high levels of energy, effort, and physicality during the Blazers' first five days of practice. After transitioning from shells to full pads, the coaching staff is shifting focus from maintaining intensity to improving execution in offensive and defensive installations. Players noted that the increased physicality and competition for playing time have driven intensity on both sides of the ball.
