Alabama and Mississippi State face off in high-stakes SEC matchup

No. 7 Alabama is set to face No. 16 Mississippi State this Saturday, October 3, in a highly anticipated SEC matchup. Mississippi State enters the game with a 4-0 record, led by sophomore quarterback Kamario Taylor, who is considered one of the program's most highly-rated recruits. A victory could mark the Bulldogs' most significant success since 2014.

Ahead of the game, the SEC released an availability report for both teams. Alabama's roster includes several players listed as out, while offensive lineman Jayvin James is listed as questionable. Mississippi State reports that safety Isaac Smith and running back Fluff Bothwell are probable to play.

Sports analysts are divided on the outcome. While some experts favor Alabama to secure a victory late in the game, others are backing the Bulldogs. FanDuel Sportsbook is also promoting the matchup with a profit boost offer for eligible customers.
