Alabama defenders earn SEC weekly honors after Kentucky win

Three Alabama Crimson Tide defenders have received Southeastern Conference (SEC) weekly honors following the team's 45-17 victory over Kentucky.

Luke Metz and Caleb Woodson were named Co-Defensive Players of the Week. Metz recorded eight tackles and a 34-yard interception return for a touchdown, which provided Alabama's first score of the game. Woodson led the team with 12 tackles, including two sacks.

Devan Thompkins earned Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week honors after recording six tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble. The defensive performance limited Kentucky to 209 total yards of offense and only 17 points.
