Alabama dog saves family from lightning-induced house fire

A dog named Kali saved her owners, Rhiannon Bamberg and Rex, from a devastating house fire in Alabama caused by a lightning strike. Despite being terrified of storms, Kali overcame her fear to wake her owners and guide them toward safety.

After hearing a cracking sound, the dog repeatedly nudged the door leading to the garage. Upon investigating, Bamberg discovered the garage was filled with smoke and flames. While the family escaped unharmed thanks to the dog's alert and the quick actions of a neighbor who is a firefighter, the house and three vehicles were completely destroyed. Neighbors have since mobilized to provide the family with essential items and clothing.
