Alabama WR Ryan Coleman-Williams unlikely to play against Tennessee
Alabama Crimson Tide star wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams is unlikely to play in the upcoming game against Tennessee due to injury. Head coach Kalen DeBoer noted that Coleman-Williams is dealing with knee issues and a head injury, stating he will likely be a week-to-week player.
Coleman-Williams currently leads the Alabama receiving unit with 415 yards and 23 receptions. In his absence, offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb indicated that players such as Lotzeir Brooks, Rico Scott, and Noah Rogers are prepared to step into larger roles.
The injury news follows Alabama’s recent 20-17 loss to the Georgia Bulldogs. That matchup was marked by controversial officiating, including an overturned interception and a non-call on pass interference involving Coleman-Williams, which analyst Kirk Herbstreit noted were significant moments that could have impacted the outcome.
