Alabama honors manufacturing and work-based learning programs

Alabama has launched National Manufacturing Month by naming four companies as ‘Manufacturer of the Year’ for their achievements in innovation, performance, and workforce development.

Additionally, the Alabama Office of Apprenticeship has recognized several programs with the Alabama Work-Based Learning Seal of Excellence. Among the honored programs are Skilled Trades of West Alabama, Walker County Schools, and Alabama Power. These programs will participate in statewide events this fall, with final winners to be announced in November and honored at the Alabama Summit on Talent Retention and Work-Based Learning in February.
