Alabama law enforcement investigate separate shooting incidents

The Madison County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that occurred in Meridianville.

In a separate incident, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has launched an investigation into an officer-involved shooting in Montgomery County. The incident began when Dickson County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a stolen trailer. After locating the trailer and a male subject who fired shots at deputies, a pursuit ensued. The subject crashed his vehicle near the intersection of Hwy 48 North and Little Barton’s Creek Road. Upon exiting the vehicle with a firearm, the man was shot by deputies and fatally wounded. The TBI is acting as an independent fact-finder to determine the circumstances of the shooting.
