Alabama QB Keelon Russell praised by South Carolina coach

South Carolina head football coach Shane Beamer has praised Alabama quarterback Keelon Russell, describing him as a ‘really impressive’ dual-threat player. Beamer noted that Russell possesses the passing accuracy and velocity seen in former Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson, combined with the athleticism and running ability characteristic of Jalen Milroe.

Through three games of the season, the redshirt freshman has recorded 764 passing yards and four touchdowns, alongside 133 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. Beamer highlighted a specific long touchdown run and a difficult pass made against Florida State as evidence of Russell’s high-level play.

In the upcoming week 4 college football schedule, Alabama is set to face South Carolina.
