Alagoas launches major hiring drives for university professors and civil police

The State of Alagoas announced a revised public tender by the Universidade Estadual de Ciências da Saúde de Alagoas (UNCISAL) for more than 40 assistant professor positions. The contest, organized by Cebraspe, offers an initial salary of R$ 9,097.49 and a 40‑hour work week. Candidates may now submit a doctoral diploma in place of a master’s degree where permitted and provisional master’s certificates accompanied by transcripts. Vacancies cover a wide range of health‑related and technical fields, from medicine and nursing to occupational therapy and information technology.

Separately, the Alagoas Civil Police (PC AL) released its 2026 recruitment notice for 300 vacancies—150 immediate and 150 reserve. Both the Agent and the Clerk (Escrivão) roles provide an initial remuneration of R$ 5,318.63 for a 40‑hour weekly schedule. Applicants must hold a university degree recognized by the MEC and possess a Category B driver’s licence. The selection process includes a training phase that grants a scholarship equal to 50 % of the base salary. The contests aim to strengthen the state’s higher‑education and public‑safety sectors.
