Alagoas man receives R$ 1.5 million Porsche after election bet
Antônio Cintra, a 48-year-old farmer from Alagoas, has received a red Porsche valued at R$ 1.5 million following a political bet regarding the presidential election. Cintra, a supporter of President Lula, entered into the wager on September 29 with a businessman from the tobacco sector in Arapiraca who identifies as a supporter of Jair Bolsonaro.
The terms of the bet involved Cintra depositing R$ 1.5 million, while the opponent provided the vehicle, which was held in a mutual friend's warehouse until the results were finalized. Cintra collected the car this Tuesday at a gas station in Alagoas.
This is not the first time the two have engaged in such a wager; Cintra noted that during the 2022 election, he won a Ram pickup truck valued at R$ 500,000 from the same individual. Cintra plans to drive the new vehicle in Maceió, potentially adding PT party decals, before eventually selling it.
