The Military Police of Alagoas reported 23 occurrences in the Baixo São Francisco region between August 22 and August 23, 2026. Operations included preventive policing, vehicle inspections, and support for public institutions.

In Penedo, the Maria da Penha Patrol conducted inspections of women under protective measures and introduced the IRIS application to enhance monitoring. In Porto Real do Colégio, police intercepted several motorcyclists, resulting in the seizure of an unregistered vehicle and legal action against an individual for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate a motorcycle.

Additionally, in Piaçabuçu, highway police assisted the Fire Department during a traffic accident on the AL-225 involving victims trapped in wreckage, which required a temporary closure of the road in both directions.
