Alagoas public sector exams extend deadlines, advertise salaries up to R$35,000
The state of Alagoas has opened a new payment window for candidates of the Polícia Militar de Alagoas (PMAL) exam. Applicants who have already registered can now generate a boleto on the Cebraspe portal and pay the R$150 fee until May 15, after which no further registration will be accepted. The contest offers 1,060 positions (1,000 soldier and 60 officer slots) with minimum requirements of a high‑school diploma, ages 18‑30 and specific height standards. Exams are scheduled for July 19 and cover Portuguese, logic, current affairs and several areas of law.
Meanwhile, the registration period for two other Alagoas public‑service contests – the Departamento de Estradas de Rodagem (DER) and the Procuradoria‑Geral do Estado (PGE) – is also closing. Together these contests provide 40 vacancies with starting salaries ranging from about R$8,000 to more than R$35,000, reflecting the high remuneration levels for senior technical and legal positions within the state bureaucracy.
