Alagoas Public Security activates defense plan in 16 cities

The Alagoas State Secretariat of Public Security (SSP/AL) has activated the State Defense Plan across 16 municipalities served by the Military Police's South Region Policing Command (CPRSul). The operation aims to combat crime and increase population protection through preventive measures.

Based on tactical mapping from the Center for Statistics and Criminal Analysis (NEAC/SSP), military police are conducting vehicle checkpoints, person searches, and ostensive patrolling. The mobilized cities include Coruripe, Teotônio Vilela, Jequiá da Praia, Roteiro, Penedo, Piaçabuçu, Feliz Deserto, Igreja Nova, Porto Real do Colégio, São Miguel dos Campos, São Brás, São Sebastião, Junqueiro, Campo Alegre, Anadia, and Boca da Mata.

Public Security Secretary Flávio Saraiva stated that the actions are planned using intelligence and criminal analysis to direct personnel to strategic points. He also encouraged community collaboration, noting that citizens can provide anonymous information via the 181 hotline.
