Alai Secure hosts IoT conference in Santiago, promoting satellite‑based NTN connectivity

Alai Secure organized a conference in Santiago that brought together IoT industry experts to discuss the sector’s future. Francisco Aguayo, Director of Sales at CALA de Robustel, said that “in industrial environments, connectivity is a critical element” and emphasized the need for reliable communications. Ernesto Estupiñán, a pre‑sales engineer at Queclink, presented perspectives on IoT devices and solutions, while Sebastián Lever, Director of Infrastructure & Strategic Alliances at Grupo Metrowan, highlighted the importance of infrastructure and collaboration across the ecosystem.

The round‑table addressed challenges such as moving IoT projects from pilot to mass deployment, network evolution, expansion into new verticals, and the necessity of partners that guarantee coverage, support and service continuity. The event concluded with Alai Secure showcasing its IoT NTN (LEO) satellite service, which supplements terrestrial cellular coverage to provide connectivity in remote areas, ensure continuity and high availability, and complement its Multi‑Local connectivity model.
