New details have emerged regarding the departure of French winger Alain Saint-Maximin from the French club RC Lens. Although the 29-year-old player performed well during his tenure, the club reportedly decided not to offer him a new contract following a specific incident.

According to reports, Lens officials were discouraged from renewing his contract due to his absence from the Coupe de France trophy parade in May. Saint-Maximin had claimed he missed the celebrations due to stomach issues, a reason that reportedly failed to convince club management.
