Alan Brazil to Return to talkSPORT Breakfast Show After Liver Transplant

Former footballer and veteran talkSPORT presenter Alan Brazil, 67, has announced that he will resume hosting the station’s breakfast programme this week. Brazil underwent an eight‑hour liver transplant in June at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge, during which his heart stopped briefly. After nearly four months of recovery in Suffolk, he said he feels his voice improving and is ready to be on air at 6 a.m. on Wednesday. In a video posted with his dog Hugo, Brazil thanked the surgical team and noted he will take Thursday off for further treatment before returning on Friday. His comeback marks the end of a long absence from the show he has presented since its launch in 2000.
