Alan Dore charged with murder and attempted murder in London stabbing
Alan Dore, 48, appeared at the Old Bailey charged with the murder of 52-year-old Samantha Turner and the attempted murder of her daughter, Keeley Turner. The incident occurred on August 18 at a home on Askew Road in Shepherd’s Bush, west London.
Prosecutor Philip McGhee described the incident as a ‘murderous attack’ in a ‘domestic setting’. It is alleged that Dore, who had been in a relationship with Ms. Turner for approximately one year, stabbed her roughly 70 times. When Keeley Turner, 32, attempted to intervene after hearing her mother's screams, she was allegedly stabbed in the abdomen and back.
Ms. Turner was pronounced dead at the scene. Keeley Turner was hospitalized with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. Dore was arrested at the property and has been remanded in custody. A plea hearing is scheduled for November 9, with a provisional three-week trial set to begin on May 17 next year.
