Alan Gael “N” linked to process for feminicide of student in Mexico

Alan Gael “N” has been formally linked to a legal process for the feminicide of Dianna Rivera Romero, an 18-year-old engineering student in the State of Mexico. The investigation by the Fiscalía General de Justicia del Estado de México (FGJEM) indicates that the victim was killed on August 20 after meeting the suspect in Toluca.

Following her disappearance, the victim's body was discovered on August 23 in a wooded area within the Pedregal de Guadalupe Hidalgo neighborhood in Ocoyoacac, near La Marquesa. Authorities noted that the body showed signs of violence and that the victim's hands had been tied.

A judge has ordered a four-month period for complementary investigation and maintained pretrial detention for the suspect, who will remain at the Lerma penitentiary. If convicted, the suspect faces a potential sentence of up to 70 years in prison.
