Alan Jackson farewell concert to air on NBC in December
Country music star Alan Jackson’s final concert, titled ‘Alan Jackson: The Last Show,’ is scheduled to broadcast on NBC on December 8 at 8 PM ET. The two-hour special will be available for streaming on Peacock the following day.
The broadcast features footage from Jackson’s final performance at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, which took place on June 27. The event included a 23-song set by Jackson and appearances from numerous country music artists, including Carrie Underwood, Luke Combs, George Strait, Lainey Wilson, Miranda Lambert, and Eric Church.
A live album titled ‘The Last Show: One More for the Road – The Finale (Live from Nashville)’ will be released a few days prior to the television broadcast. The concert special was directed by Sam Wrench.
Jackson is retiring from touring following his diagnosis of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, a degenerative nerve condition that affects muscle control and sensation, particularly in the extremities. He first revealed the diagnosis in 2021.
